Gilmore Girls is a real obsession, maybe an addiction but the most beautiful and authentic one. If there’s one fictional woman who I’m terribly influenced by that’s Lorelai Gilmore and I freakin’ adore her.

Yes, you can watch this on Netflix and coming from someone who has watched all the seven seasons over five times in the last five years. I can’t get enough of it, I don’t think I ever will. I’ve had one too many people complain about how fast I speak or how fast I type, I’m awfully fast and I realised so are the Gilmore girls. They are street smart, beautiful, funny and guess what? they have an annoyingly amazing appetite — Have you seen the tub of ben and jerry’s? or the innumerable items they order every single time?

Quick fun fact: I’ve named my puppies Richard and Edward, rings a bell? Tribute to the most amazing, smartest and well-groomed man Richard Gilmore played by Edward Herrmann. Miss you and all the episodes which lacked your tall presence.

On my last birthday, I had my best friend write a note for me which read eat more, laugh more, live more, GILMORE! That’s how much I love the show. And another friend wanted me to find my Jess (A cute guy who is smart and likes trouble) and someone who proposes to me with a thousand daisies (ref.S01E21) although I hate the colour yellow, so daisies won’t work.

The life motto I’ve taken from Gilmore Girls — In Omnia Paratus translates to not being afraid of anything and taking the leap of faith, always.

“I can be flexible, as long as everything is exactly the way I want it, I’m totally flexible” — Lorelai

Some shows connect with your soul, your personality, some sync with your daily life, some become one with you and some make you cry every single time. Mum and I want to replicate a few scenes someday at the Stars Hollow set. And I definitely dream of meeting Lauren Graham someday and thank her for shaping up the teen in me to become self-sufficient, capable and a total extrovert who loves with no bounds, but fears commitments.

Unlimited coffee, driving a jeep, predicting the snow, jumping off tall buildings, naming your dog after a celebrity, going on unplanned drives to destinations like Harvard, being the best of a friend, best of an ally, best of girlfriend, best of wife and the most admirable of mom. Lorelai as we live and breathe! A legend, I truly love and owe.

Now that you’ve reached here, you’ve been Gilmored!
